Personal profile

Research

I study climate feedbacks on a broad range of timescales, with a particular focus on the ocean-atmosphere feedbacks (El Niño–Southern Oscillation) and terrestrial ecosystem-atmosphere feedbacks, with the application of Earth system model, climate model and dynamic vegetation model simulations. My research concerns how global change alters structure and functions of terrestrial ecosystems, and how terrestrial ecosystems regulate climate change; my research also contributes to the understanding of El Niño–Southern Oscillation evolution in the past and the future.
