Research

I hold a Ph.D. in Business Administration with an emphasis on Entrepreneurship. I work at the Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship. My research is about entrepreneurial learning in technology-based ventures. The fundamental question that drove my doctoral study was: how technology-based ventures develop, through entrepreneurial learning, the capability to transform entrepreneurial ideas into new or improved products or services? The overarching aim was to create a theoretical model that explains how personal streams of experience transpose to the venture in the form of routines. To do so, I explored the notion of entrepreneurial learning at multiple levels, thus closing a critical gap in literature where studies on EL have focused primarily on learning at the individual or firm-level with little effort to integrate these levels. The research is mainly qualitative and influenced by grounded theory when considering data collection and analysis.
