The Nils Karleby Foundation for Scanian Culture and History is named after Nils Karleby, born in Västra Karaby (Karleby) in 1892, raised in Hyllinge, died in Stockholm in 1926. To honour the memory of Nils Karleby, his wife Anna and son Olle Karleby decided to bequeath all their assets to a foundation whose purpose is to support and promote research into Scanian culture and history.
