Description
We propose a specification for a nuclear-physics facility at the MAX IV accelerator complex in Lund. The facility would use the backscattering of laser photons from the electrons circulating in a storage ring to produce energetic and highly polarised gamma rays. A specification and costing of the laser back scattering facility is given and the nuclear-physics apparatus necessary for an experimental program described briefly. The physics motivation for this experimental program is outlined.
