Active Learning in Higher Education

Active Learning in Higher Education is a long-term project to of improve student-centred learning and teaching in higher education. It is based on a generation of international research on higher education and the need to improve education at Lund University. Active learning helps provide an antidote to the challenges presented by AI-accelerated LLMs such as OpenAI’s GPT or Google’s PaLM.

Active Learning is 'learning-by-doing' rather than 'teaching-by-talking'. It is driven by the needs of students to learn through activities, rather than the needs of teachers to teach through lectures.
