Description

To get a better understanding of the problems caused by diabetes we aim to establish how adaptive morphological and functional changes in the chronically diseased kidney develop. We use state-of-the-art Synchrotron X-ray micro-CT to image biopsies from human and a novel T2D and DKD animal model, the BBDR.cg-lepr.cp rat and correlate with spatial transcriptomics and RNAseq data to get a newer understanding of structure–function relationships in health and disease
