Description

The aim of this study is to identify and risk stratify preoperative variables correlated to the direct postoperative adverse clinical complications after a total cavopulmonay connection (TCPC) in patients with univentricular hearts. We intend to develop a clinical algorithm to identify patients with high risk for postoperative complications. Moreover, the study will assess the cardiovascular remodelling after TCPC by studying the morphological and functional changes and also validate newer echocardiographic indices of the cardiovascular remodelling.
