A.F. Sturtzenbecker (1757-1784), was a priest at the Swedish Embassy in Constantinople. He traveled to Greece in 1784 and visited the monastery libraries, ancient sites and monuments. After some months of travelling, he died. His diary, which contains ample information about contemporary Greece is already in digital form and will be published in collaboration with Karin Bauman and John Heldt.
