Algebraization of MRI signal equations

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Signal equations describe how the observed MR signals depend on relaxation and flip angles. Signal equations can be cast into an algebraic representation using suitable bijective nonlinear transformations of transcendent functions, namely Euler's half-angle tangent substitution and its hyperbolic analogon. Algebraization facilitates the use of symbolic software (like Mathematica) and thus greatly enhances the solution of analytical optimization problems.
