The project (externally funded by The Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Co) concerns what the study of ancient texts and languages has to teach us about preservation of information on very large time scales - something that is of vital importance to the issue of nuclear waste management, which involves technical information that must be kept available for thousands years.
