Description

The purpose of this study is to investigate how scientific results regarding urban air pollution and health can be applied in sustainable urban planning. This will be done through examining how scientifically based knowledge on air pollution is translated into the everyday work of policymakers and urban planners, and how such translations can be supported by health impact assessment (HIA) scenario planning. The study will enhance knowledge about sustainable urban development, suggesting solutions on how to build a denser city without causing an increased health impact from air pollution.
