Project Details
Description
The purpose of the Project is to study how artificial intelligence (AI) techniques can be applied to learn from existing data to identify (i) individuals at risk of developing T1D, and (ii) individuals with upcoming/newly diagnosed T1D that would benefit the most from precision prevention or early intervention with therapeutic approaches. The ultimate goal of the project is to pave the way for implementation of screening at larger scale, and for expansion to other autoimmune diseases.
Popular science description
The aim is to use AI to analyze type 1 diabetes data available in large data bases. The results will be used to design clinical trials to prevent the disease.
