Description
NLO QCD and EW as well as NNLO QCD calculations, for processes in the Standard Model of particle physics and beyond, will dominate theoretical precision predictions for high-energy colliders in the next decade(s). I intend to explore the automation of these calculations, in particular NLO QCD and EW automation and matching to parton
showers in the context of parton shower event generators. Based on my previous research, being an author of the Herwig event generator and a founding author of the NLOX NLO EW and QCD one-loop provider, I intend to particularly focus on this subject within the context of the Herwig event generator.
