Books, time and space: Functions of media in man's relation to the past.

The project concerns the book as physical artefact and intermediary of historical qualities. The paper book has a number of unique qualities. These influence the individual experience of handling and reading a book. They are also vital in the construction of our understanding of history and of our own time’s relation to the past.
