Description
This project is embedded in the CORE Formas project that aims to assess the biotic and abiotic climate effects (“costs”) of rotation forestry in an interdisciplinary approach. The aim of my research is to analyze scenarios of alternative reforestation strategies (after clear-cut and after forest fire) for different climate scenarios. I will be running LPJ-Guess simulations, and use greenhouse gas flux and concentration measurements, meteorological and soil measurements, and remotely sensed data that is collected through this project and / or made available through the ICOS carbon portal. Overall the project's results aim to improve quantification and reduce uncertainties of the greenhouse gas budgets for Sweden's forests.
