Description
Why can't we find children at risk in time? Many professions who work with both children and adults, such as teachers, doctors, social workers and nurses, are obligated to report if they suspect a child is at risk. Despite this, severe abuse of children is many times only discovered after the child is killed by its parents or after a long time of neglect.
This Theme will begin by speaking with professionals from different areas of contact with at risk children in order to raise the question, and also discuss what it means to be a child "at risk".
