Description

We have followed 17 families were a child in the family was diagnosed with cancer over seven years with interviews and observations. From the needs described by the family members we have developed, piloted, evaluated in RCT, and implemented interventions in clinical paediatric cancer care. For example, we have implemented hospital based home care for children with cancer at the University hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark. Furthermore, we have implemented age appropriate preparations for children undergoing magnetic resonance imaging with the results that children over the age of four no longer need general anesthesia.
