Circular Economy: Managing Materials Sustainably

Project: Other

Project Details

Description

The Circular Economy is a means of transforming to a more sustainable and competitive economy, which means opportunities for individuals and businesses, but also highlights the needs for policies and new business models. This MOOC will examine the rationale for the Circular Economy in the EU, beginning with the need for raw materials in our society. It will examine how we can more sustainably mine and use these materials. It will also explore in-depth new business models and policies promoting a circular economy, with a look at real cases and interviews with businesses currently innovating in this field. Lastly, it will examine large-scale changes needed to move towards a sustainable circular society. The project is supported by EIT Raw Materials and reflect the work of actors and projects within the KIC Raw Materials community and beyond.
