Project Details
Description
The purpose of the project is to improve efficiency and combustion stability of Diesel engines using fast modelling and control through combustion feedback. This is particularly important when the engine is cold, operated outside of its normal range or fuelled by a mixture of conventional fuel and biofuel. Through fast feedback and control the combustion can be improved, which results in reduced fuel consumption and emissions as well as improved potential for using biofuels.
