How do we use our mental imagery to orient spatially, to navigate and to solve problems? The aim of the project is to investigate how eye-tracking methodology can be used to study spatial cognition, in particular cognitive processes underlying mental imagery, mental reasoning, problem solving and map reading.
The project is conducted in co-operation between Swedish, German and U.S. researchers from Lund, Bremen, Urbana -Champaign and Melbourne. The project is funded by the Institute for Advanced Study (Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg), Delmenhorst, Germany.
