Description
The automation and efficient numerical evaluation of higher-order corrections is tightly connected with the construction of the underlying scattering amplitudes. Quantum number management, for QCD also known as color decomposition, is an efficient way to organize the computation of scattering amplitudes, utilizing the fundamental properties of the underlying gauge theories. Together with utilizing so-called spinor-helicity methods, this is used successfully in automated NLO QCD calculations. Based on earlier research of mine, a set of computer programs is intended, using quantum number management and spinor-helicity methods, for the efficient calculation of scattering amplitudes in high-energy particle physics. The further development of these methods is intended as well, possibly also for NLO EW and NNLO QCD calculations, as well as for other algebraic groups in the Standard Model of particle physics and beyond.
