Popular science description

Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), a pacemaker for the brain, is a surgical treatment where chronic invasive electrodes stimulate brain structures deep within the brain. Since 2005 DBS has been investigated as a possible therapy for patients with severe depressions who have not responded to conventional treatments. I’m undertaking an ethical analysis of this application of DBS.
