Food Aid from Faith based organisations

The focus of my dissertation project is based on food poverty and food insecurity in Sweden and civil society’s aid response to those in financially vulnerable situations. Food aid comes is several forms, such as social food stores, food banks, groceries, and prepared meals. Extensive charity food aid organisations, such as The City Mission and The Church of Sweden, are included and relevant in the study. The research goals are related to three main areas. First is the function of civil society's food aid concerning public welfare. Secondly, service users' experiences and the significance and characteristics of the food aid are studied.
