Genomförbarhetsstudier - Elektrifiering och effektivisering av hamnar och terminaler

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The project is a feasibility study in which the conditions for electrification of ports and terminals are analyzed. The project will lead to proposals on how to implement solutions for electrification in a smart and sustainable way and show the potential for broader commercialization. The infrastructure consists of a combination of static and dynamic charging. We want to investigate the conditions for applying the latter technology, where there may be opportunities to increase the efficiency of the electric vehicles used. We believe that dynamic charging, if used properly, can both reduce the need for large batteries and increase the utilization rate. The project wants to evaluate available system support today as well as those that will be needed in the future to increase the efficiency of the electric and autonomous machines. The goal is to start projects to implement full-scale commercial solutions for the electrification of ports and terminals after feasibility studies.
