Project Details
Description
This was a FRN funding grant for an exploratory project directed at young scholars.
The objective of the project is to analyze and develop new theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of travel and mobility as culturally organized and gendered phenomenon in late-modernity. The project does this by investigating the manner in which very different forms of physical, imagined, and technological movement affect people's daily lives and notions of home, as well as their understanding of themselves and their surrounding social and natural world.
