Description

In this project the research group has mainly looked at the common contact allergens p-phenylendiamine and toluen-2,5-diamine, both hairdye substances found in permanent hairdyes and common hairdye allergens. Studies are peformed to further elucidate the main allergens and why the individual with contact allergy to hairdye often also becomes allergic to chemically similar compounds such as black rubber mix. Studies have also been performed in order to optimize the preventive strategies that can be used by hairdressers.
