Description

Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer-related death, but survival rates have improved with modern precision medicine. There are significant differences in the treatment of the main types of lung cancer (adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and small cell carcinoma). Also, metastases to the lungs are handled differently. Hence, accurate diagnostics is essential but often challenging as pulmonary tumors are typically diagnosed with small specimens only. The aim of this project is to improve tissue/cell-based diagnostics of lung cancer.
