Description
In this research we aim to identify different parametric measures by MRI such as diffusion, MRS and perfusion that can characterize different brain metastasis and confirm the underlying primary tumour. In many cases are the evidence of brain metastasis the first sign of an underlying primary tumour. If MRI can characterize the metastases and suggest the primary tumour surgical intervention (i.e. biopsy for diagnosis) can be avoided. This projects have several separate subprojects.
