Project Details

Description

This project intends to dive deeply into how different epistemological positions, expertise, and methods can render very different understandings of our relationships with technologies such as robots or drones. We aim to collaboratively design and develop a human-drone interactive system and then deploy it to empirically investigate people's sensemaking of a technology that expresses itself through movement. Through blending our collective expertise, we will explore conceptions of trust and explainability through the lenses of intercorporeal sense-making and social robotics. Through this process, we aim to, not only advance our own individual research projects, but also reveal the synergies and conflicts that characterise doing interdisciplinary research involving intelligent systems.
