Investigating a possible third component in the Milky Way outer disk.

With new data from Gaia EDR3, it is possible to investigate the structure of the outer disk in a way not previously possible. In this data, there is an overdensity feature in angular momentum-space in the outer disk. This project aims to find out what it is and (if possible) what its origins are.
