Islamic Mediterranean at lake Mälaren - traces of Islamic trade in pre-modern Sweden.

This project is a part of The Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundations support of pre-modern research within the network The Globality of the Pre-Modern World. My aim is to show how networks rooted in Mediterranean trade had impact on Scandinavian society. Through imported bowls and plates from Egyot-Syria in the 11th and 12th centuries and Malaga in the 14th, changes are discerned.
