Klimatanpassning Transportinfrastruktur - Förstudie (KATI)

The project is a feasibility study aimed at enabling a strategic interdisciplinary initiative at LTH to increase competence in the area of climate adaptation of the transport system, both at LTH and the Swedish Transport Administration but also in a broader sense. The common approach in the application aims at supporting the development of effective risk and vulnerability reducing climate adaptation measures from three perspectives 1) design level, 2) system level, and to 3) societal level, with the objective of not impairing the safety or function of the railway system, its structures, or the society that depends on it. We intend to do this by highlighting aspects linked to historical climate impact, predictions over longer periods of time, an overview of measures, and the development of strategies from a risk and vulnerability perspective.
