Description

My PhD project focuses on the previously undescribed Northern Aslian language Jedek (previously referred to as Menriq Rual), spoken in the resettlement area of Sungai Rual near the Thai border in Kelantan, Peninsular Malaysia. The project aims at investigation of the dynamics of small-scale multilingualism and individual language variation among the multilingual residents of Sungai Rual, as well as grammatical description of Jedek.
