Popular science description
In the distinctive landscape of Rödå-Tavelsjö, we see the opportunity to establish Europe’s first rural living lab for autonomous transport. Here, service design and needs analysis will be developed in collaboration with the local community, businesses, and public entities. The focus area of the living lab is 6 km x 17 km and has around 2.015 inhabitants. We hope to engage about 50% of them and such a high percentage is one of the key values brought by the living lab. Nine of the area's local companies are partners in the living lab from start and are natural startingpoints for the construction of the local ecosystem. Combining local service design with business development, we prioritize co-creation, innovation and sustainability. Over three years, the living lab will have three key tasks:
- Service Design and Needs Analysis
- Ecosystem and Business Models
- Permit Application and Route Planning
