LUSEM Case Academy

A cross disciplinary group of teachers and researcher at LUSEM with the common goal to forward the case-based teaching and learning methods.

The academy also organizes various case activities for both students and LUSEM's business partners. This usually takes place in close cooperation with LUSEM's student body and LUSEM's Corporate Relations. Among other things, case training sessions are arranged annually for students to solve cases and present these solutions to a panel of judges from business.

When judges take part in these case presentations they have the possibility to achieve a certificate as LUSEM Case Academy Business Case Judge.

LUSEM Case Academy founded in February 2012 Lund University Case Academy (LUCA) together with case friends at LTH Faculty of Engineering and at Faculty of Medicine since. LUCA was formed as a network across faculties to promote methods and perspectives on case-based student active learning. These include the Harvard case method, today used at LUSEM and the Faculty of Medicine, project-based learning, used in LTH, and problem-based learning used in the Faculty of Medicine. LUCA is interested in widening the participation in the network to more teachers and faculties at Lund University.

LUCA organizes since 2014 an conference each year at the University, LU Case Day, to share experiences and contribute to development of teaching and learning practices:
