From high-end luxury goods to everyday mid-range vehicles, the quest for flawlessness prevails. However, achieving such perfection often exacts a toll on workers, operating in perilous environments. In this context, the EU-funded MAGICIAN project will develop modular automation with robots taking charge of defect detection and rework before final product phases. Specifically, two robotic solutions will emerge: one for defect analysis (SR) and the second for defect rework (CR). Driven by AI modules, both solutions harness multi-modal data to detect defects (SR) and decide optimal rework strategies (CR). Machine learning fine-tunes decision-making, while a human-centred approach ensures seamless integration into production. MAGICIAN promises a new era of safer and impeccable production processes.
