Measuring memory reactivation: The temporal dynamics of remembering

Project: Research

Project Details

Popular science description

The proposed research will capitalize on advanced multivariate pattern analysis (MVPA) methods to reveal the neural traces established during learning and to quantify their later reinstatement during retrieval. Specifically, we employ MVPA of high time-resolution recordings of brain activity (electroencephalography, EEG) to allow insight into the timing, strength, and content of retrieved memories. Understanding of the temporal dynamics of memory retrieval has significant implications for the science of memory and its application.
