Advanced study Group (ASG) at the Pufendorf Institute for Advanced Studies

At Lund University there is a strong multidisciplinary competence in medical imaging focused on the use of nanoparticle contrast agents. Thanks to recent development at Lund University it is now possible to use up to five modalities (PET/SPECT/MR/Ultrasound and optical techniques) to image the very same particle. The aim of this Advanced study group at the Pufendorf Institute, is to identify potential users of the new multimodal techniques, to spread their use and promote their further development. The Study group will also map needs and analyse future use for a new imaging technique called photoacoustic imaging, to see how this new modality can strengthen research at Lund University. The Study group will arrange seminars with invited speakers on pertinent topics and scenarios for new application areas.
