Description
Population based cohort of 40 000 women (25-65 y of age) from the Southern Swedish Health Care Region (Founder: Håkan Olsson and Christian Ingvar) The cohort has been followed since 1991 and reinterviewed every 10th year. Focus on heritage, occupation, family, diseases, medication and ultraviolet exposure. The cohort has been updated several times with the Cancer Registry and the Death Registry. 17 000 women have supplied the biobank with saliva for DNA. Several projects from this cohort have been finished mainly in the melanoma and breast cancer field.
