Modelling and characterizing neuroblastoma metastasis

Patients with aggressive neuroblastoma (NB) have a very poor prognosis, even with surgery and treatment with high-dose chemotherapy. Treatment resistance and relapse are biological and clinical challenges, in particular at metastatic sites such as bone and bone marrow.
In this project we will set up a co-culture system in vitro with the aim to model the interaction between NB
tumor cells and the bone / bone marrow niche.
