Project Details

Description

This interdisciplinary and longitudinal project involves groups of the population with an increased risk of developing cognitive decline and/or activity avoidance. The project involves both cross-sectional and longitudinal studies that include: 1) people at risk of developing dementia, i.e. having subjective cognitive decline (SCD) or mild cognitive impairment (MCI) [1], and 2) cognitively healthy older people. A specific focus constitutes motor aspects where cognitive functioning plays a significant role, such as gait, balance and visuospatial navigation while walking. The data collections include brain imaging and biosamples. A substudy includes people ageing with Parkinson's disease.
