Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The purpose of this project is to leverage regional innovation policy to promote green and just transformation in a multi-level governance context. Pursuing this aim, the project explores and develops multilevel learning journeys, conceptualised as knowledge cocreation processes with policy makers, to better combine and coordinate policies at different levels of governance. We experiment with learning journeys in relation to 3 specific areas. 1) transformative innovation in rural areas, 2) integrating a justice dimension in regional transformative innovation policy, 3) multi-level missions for sustainable food. Expected outcomes are: i) actionable knowledge about how to embed regional transformative innovation policies in a multi-level context, ii) better understanding of the potentials and limitations of transformative innovation policies at different levels of governance, iii) enhanced experience of organizing research in interaction activities, and in particular learning with actors across levels, iv) improved understanding and networks between researchers and policy makers, and v) relevant and timely research outputs.
