Project Details

Description

After the 1927 flood, labour camps were organised at the Mississippi river to rebuild the levees. In the beginning of the 1930s, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) launched a campaign against what was described as conditions similar to slavery. The aim of this project is to analyse this campaign.
