Nanostructure characterization of nanoparticles from traffic-related wear process

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The general objective of the project is to characterize the nanostructure and quantitatively identify the
composition of nanoparticles from automotive brake contact and tire-road surface contact, which are recently
recognized as one of the biggest contributors to traffic-related air pollution. The ultimate purpose is to apply the
required knowledge to develop and evaluate models, thereby enabling us to quantify the health and
environmental impacts of non-exhaust nanoparticles.
