Description
My research field is within the Target Temperature Management (TTM)-Study in patients after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Currently I am analysing the TTM-data collected from head computed tomography (CT) in comatose patients on the Intensive Care Unit. The aim is to find out how the CT findings correlate with patient outcome. In future, we aim to validate the new 2015 European Resuciation Counsil/ European Society of Intensive Care Medicines Guidelines for Post-Resucitation Care. We believe that a multimodal approach using head CT, EEG and biomarkers might be a reliable tool to identify comatose cardiac arrest patients with a poor prognosis.
