Project Details

Popular science description

The aim of this research project is to contribute to the development of new forms of collaboration to promote safe trade in vulnerable urban places. The project examines perceptions, perspectives and experiences about security among retailers that operate in districts where a lack of attractiveness and security makes it difficult to conduct business. The goal is to contribute with new knowledge about the conditions of trade beyond the planned shopping centers and pedestrian streets. This knowledge can be used to facilitate cooperation between retailers and other actors such as city planners, real estate companies, municipal housing companies, politicians, architects, care workers, the police, and actors in the educational system.
