Description

I have been doing photoluminescence spectroscopy and photoluminescence excitation spectroscopy on polytype heterostructure nanowires. In particular I have looked at nanowires containing wurtzite-zinc-blende heterostructures in the GaAs and InP material systems.

Popular science description

I have investigated how semiconductor rods with a diameter of up to 100 nm (nanowires) respond to being illuminated with a light. In particular I have looked what happens to light shown upon nanowires containing different crystal structures.
