Description
Preeclampsia (PE) is an inflammatory condition characterized by systemic oxidative stress and disordered regulation of cell homeostasis. This study focuses on role of the A1M protein in clinical course and outcomes in PE mouse model. Changes in morphology and function in affected tissues in A1Mko mouse model are studied.
Popular science description
Preeclampsia (PE) is a condition which develops in some pregnant women. Women suffering from PE usually present with raised blood pressure and protein in urine. Many protective mechanism are not efficient in pregnant women suffering from PE . This study focuses on protein A1M which has protective properties in PE animal models. We study organs structure and function in PE mouse model when endogenous production of A1M is lost.
