Pericyte function and dysfunction in CNS disease

Brain pericytes have multiple roles in microcirculation, angiogenesis and maintenance of the blood–brain–barrier. All these roles make pericytes an interesting target in stroke research.
The projects of this thesis are investigating different aspects of the role of pericytes after stroke.
