Project Details

Description

This project aims to characterize muskuloskeletal tissues from small animals, including how mechanical loading affects the tissue composition, structure and mechanical function. The research is focused on the mineralization process of developing long bones and the Achilles tendon at the micro- and nanoscale. The characterization is conducted primarily using synchrotron radiation based techniques.
